They like plenty of light, but little water and are versatile for planting in the ground, container or even as bonsai.  The leaves are very thick, spoon-shaped and shiny  green, with seasonally red tips. We have two varieties this season: \"Gollum\" and \"Hobbit\" (pictured here), each in their own posting. Hobbit has wider spoon-shaped leaves. These are healthy, water-transferring pores called \"hydathodes\" and not a sign of disease.
