Without much warning, sky blue saucer-shaped flowers (1 inch across) suddenly appear at the ends of the stalks and continue blooming anywhere from 8 to 12 weeks. While individual flowers have a very short bloom time, the profusion of flowers masks that. Flax can withstand heat, humidity and is drought tolerant. Happy plants will self-seed.
