Aeonium - maroon-tipped star

Pot size: 4" tall

An elegant, less common easy-to-grow aeonium. Evergreen rosettes of green having maroon-tipped leaves on a strong stem that branches out into a low mound. Drought-tolerant, aeoniums prefer protection from midday sun especially inland. Color is most intense in stronger light. Long-lasting yellow, pollinator-friendly inflorescence is followed by the death of the primary head, but side-shoots remain to carry on the show. Deer and rodent resistant.

Note: Fall aeoniums are just coming out of summer dormancy. Plant and enjoy!

Size:   3' h x 2'w
Light: full sun to part shade
Soil: Well-drained preferred, regular potting soil is ok.
Water:  Allow to dry between waterings.
Bloom: Brilliant yellow; monocarpic (dies after bloom). Unblooming branches continue to grow.
Other notes: Cut off and reroot as needed, such as if leggy or base dies.
