An excellent cut flower, Alstroemeria, commonly called 'Peruvian Lily', is a slowly-spreading tuberous perennial native to South America. Pull, rather than cut stems to extend bloom. Very long-lived, easy and rewarding colorful flowering perennial. Tough once it has settled in place, but handle very gently when transplanting to avoid damaging sensitive roots.

Zones: 7-10
Size: 24-30" tall; 2-3' wide needs support
Light: Mostly sunny. They thrive when receiving full morning sun and some partial shade in the afternoons.  
Soil:  Tolerates a variety of soil types, but not soggy conditions. Well-drained soil including organic matter such as manure or compost recommended.
Water: Drought tolerant. Weekly water preferred
Bloom: Early Spring to late Summer in ideal conditions.

Uses: Borders, cut flowers, containers, support helpful.

Note: Heading into seasonal dormancy. Water sparingly
