Aquilegia chrysanthe a vigorously growing mounded columbine known for its prolific bloom of large bright yellow flowers up to 3” in length and abundant fern-like foliage.

Plant Type: Perennial

Size: 2-3 feet tall; 1-2 feet wide
Light: Light to moderate shade; tolerates some sun
Soil: Fertile, moist, well drained.
Water: Light to Moderate depending on amount of direct sun.
Bloom Color and Season: Bright yellow bloom in late Spring early Summer.
Other Notes: Readily self-seeds if not deadheaded. Attracts bumblebees and butterflies; deer, rabbit and gopher resistant.
Uses: Beds, borders, cascading over walls, shade gardens, naturalized areas.  Makes good cut flowers.
