Perennial Evergreen Nativar Flowering Shrub

Pajaro Paradise Manzanita, a horticultural selection derived from a cutting taken from A. pajaroensis and offered for the garden by Suncrest Nurseries.   This striking evergreen shrub has dark red bark and white or pink flower clusters.  New tip growth is bright red turning to purple in the fall.

Size: 6-8 inches tall and wide
Light: Full sun on the coast; part shade inland
Soil: Sandy, course-grained or other fast draining
Water: Very low
Bloom: Pink flowers. Blooms for almost 3 months
Other Notes: Prune annually for bright red new growth. Attracts Bees and other pollinators, birds and a lepidoptera nectar source and larval host.
