Ocimum basillicum - Purple Opal Heirloom Basil

Size:  4-inch round

This is a very fragrant basil, with beautiful deep purple leaves and pink flowers.  It is often used as an ornamental. Can be grown indoors, but will bloom more readily outdoors. This variety is difficult to find in nurseries.

Planting/ Spacing: 8 inches apart
Days to Maturity: 75-90 days
Hardiness: Night-time temps must be 50 deg.+: temperature-fragile. Keep lower buds pinched off to extend harvesting.
