The flavor of edamame is nutty, buttery and truly irresistible fresh from the garden. Cook them quickly, right in their pods for appetizers and snacks. These seeds are imported from Japan. The two foot tall bush plants give high yields of 3 inch green pods. Harvest the beans when the pods are plump and the beans are almost touching each other inside the pods (but before the pods turn yellow). This is a new product this season.

Planting/Spacing: 3-inches apart
Days to Maturity: 85 days
Hardiness: Easy to grow, but wait until warmer weather to plant. Also good to wait until a bit more mature as birds love the young seedlings! Avoid cultivating plants when ground is too wet. Harvest period is fairly short; stagger planting to extend that.
