The CA Buttercup is a native perennial that has unique yellow flowers that have more than 10 petals each. The petals have a waxy, reflective appearance that keeps them from photographing well. When blooming, there’s a veritable profusion of shiny yellow blossoms. The stems and leaves can be slightly hairy. The palmatey-lobed leaves resemble delphiniums (larkspur) - cousins in the same family. This plant grows sideways, instead of primarily upwards. In addition to being a pollinator, this plant is also drought tolerant. Zones: 6-9 Size: Grows 12-24 inches in height, and 24-36 inches in spread.
