Julia Phelps Mountain Lilac is a hybrid of Ceanothu papillosus and Ceanothus impressus distinguished for its intense indigo blue flowers and dense, small dark green crinkly leaves. C. 'Julia Phelps" has a dense mounding growth habit growing up to 8 feet tall and 12 feet wide.  An important wildlife plant, it attracts pollinators and provides seed and shelter for birds.
