A special white-flowered form of a very rare species from Hearst Castle in San Luis Obispo County.
Size: This rugged groundcover ceanothus reaches up to 3' tall and spreads to 5' wide. Light: Prefers sun in coastal sites, and part shade in inland sites. Soil: Tolerant of almost any type of well-drained soil; tolerates saline soil. Water: Very drought tolerant; could use water every 4-6 weeks. Bloom: Winter through Spring Other notes: A fabulous pollinator plant which also provides food and cover for birds. Deer, drought, gopher, coast and fire tolerant. Tip prune if a compact shape is desired. Uses: An excellent candidate for parkway strips and drier borders, bank stabilization.
