Ceanothus griseus var. horizontalis, Yankee Point Ceanothus, finds its origins on the Central Coast of California, just south of Carmel.  This is a horticultural favorite for gardens and area groundcovers.  It is tolerant of sea spray on the coast and inland conditions as well.  This low growing Ceanothus is a fast grower, spreads to 6 feet, and has shiny green leaves and blue blossoms in spring.  Attracts birds, bees, butterflies, bats and caterpillars.

Soil: Tolerates a wide variety of soils pH5.0-7.0. Fast, medium, slow draining

Other Notes: Easy care ceanothus.  Cold tolerant to 23 degrees.
