Homegrown celery is crisp, juicy and flavorful when harvested fresh from the garden. Merlin is a European variety developed especially for home gardens. They produce early, and the plants reliably yield tall 12-inch tender stalks. Vitamin Rich! Leafy tops are delicious in soups and stews and it grows best in cooler weather. These plants are very small this season, and thus, reduced in price (see second photo). They WILL grow quickly, though.
