"Purple Tear" Honeywort produces 1-inch brilliant violet flowers surrounded by rich-blue bracts that get deeper in color with cooler nights toward the end of the season. Attracts bees and hummingbirds.  Good as cut flower.  Heat and drought tolerant. Deer resistant.

Light: Full Sun                                                                                                                      Size: 16" - 32" tall; 12" - 18" wide                                                                                      Soil: Lean to moderately fertile, well-drained soil.                                                            Water: Once established, allow soil surface to dry out between watering.  Somewhat drought tolerant but flowers do best with moderate water.                                        Bloom: Blooms in Summer for 2 to 3 months.                                                                Uses: Ornamental and cut flower gardens.  Lovely when paired with bronze purple or deep red foliage.
