Dill is perfect for edible landscaping, container gardens, and (of course!) pickles. Long Island Mammoth is a tall Heirloom variety that is considered the most reliable variety, both vigorous and fast-growing. All parts of the plant - leaves, stems, flowers, and seeds- can be used to impart dill flavor to dishes. It's a wonderful pollinator for the vegetable garden, too- let some plants bloom to attract butterflies.
