Beta vulgaris - Early Wonder Beets

These classic, fast-growing red beets have been around since 1911, and are notorious for being early producers (thus the name). They have a sweet, rounded flavor and the greens are considered to be the best of all beet greens. These come in 6-packs this season.
Sun Requirements: Full sun in cooler weather (don't plant during heatwave)
Planting/Spacing: 4 inches apart
Days to Maturity: 48 days
Hardiness: Cold tolerant; evenly moist soil preferred. Beets do not transplant well, so extreme care should be taken when putting them into the ground. Transplant with as much container soil attached to roots as possible.
