Named for the island off South Carolina, this traditional Romaine lettuce is crisp, sweet and delicious, both as a baby green or as a full-grown head of Romaine. It will grow to 10-12 inches of upright deliciousness, and is especially ideal for lettuce wraps. This variety resists tipburn, is mosaic virus tolerant, and heat tolerant. 

Sun: Partial to shade during warm weather months
Planting/Spacing: 12 inches apart (can be planted in between taller plants)
Days to Maturity:  21 - 68 days (can be picked earlier as baby greens)
Hardiness: Hardy (adapts well to changeable weather)
