Salvia sclarea - Clary Sage

Native to the Mediterranean area, Clary Sage "Bluish-White" features silvery green fuzzy foliage and tall spikes of pale blue and white blooms. This plant is fragrant,  both deer resistant and drought tolerant,  and attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. 
Either a Short-lived Perennial or Biennial

Size: 3 feet tall, 2 feet wide     
Light: Full sun.   
Soil: Clary sage prefers well-drained soil.  
Water: Low to average water requirement. 
Bloom: Blooms in late Spring/ early Summer.  
Other notes and uses: Curiously, this plant is listed as invasive in Washington State (related to the mint family). Clary Sage works well for beds, borders (especially wall-side borders), and  containers, as well as in cut flower arrangements.
