Thymus vulgaris - Winter Thyme

German Winter thyme has dainty, flavorful leaves that are excellent for cooking and teas. Culinary uses include seasoning for meats, fish, poultry, soups, and vegetables. Intensely aromatic, the plant can be cut back to about 3 inches two or three times a season to encourage thicker growth. It can easily be dried for longer storage, as well. This thyme is a perennial with mild winters. Pink flowers abound in the late spring and early summer.
