Stevia is a tender perennial that can be grown as a houseplant or outside (ideal for containers, either way). The leaves are the sweetest right before the plant flowers, in the late summer/ early fall. Can be used fresh or dried to add sweetness to desserts and drinks. It's much sweeter than sugar!
