“CrackerJack Giant Mexican Marigolds” (also known as “African marigolds” although they are native to Mexico) are a large, majestic marigold variety. They feature 4-inch blooms in lemon yellow and deep orange, and in our mild climates, will bloom and flourish summer through the late fall or even year-round. Deadheading regularly stimulates bloom quantity and quality. These flowers are traditionally harvested for Day of the Dead Festivities (Nov. 1 & 2), as common additions to the ofrendas that are created annually by families. They are stunning planted in mass, superb companion plants for vegetable gardening, and suitable for container growing. These plants grow up to three feet tall, and the cut flower bouquets they provide will last up to four weeks.  They are disease, deer and rabbit resistant!
