Size: 5 bagged dormant corms (blooming size; approximately 1")

Hard to find and limited quantity, these corms were grown from seed started in Fall 2023. Lovely large form of the familiar "Blue Dicks", from Santa Cruz Island, that are a part of the California spring wildflower show, especially after fire. Cormlets formed on stem base will gradually increase show, especially if collected and replanted every few years. Protect from critters.

Soil: well-draining, never water-logged
Water: No summer water

Depth: 4” Spacing: 3-4” apart
Uses: Dry mixed border, containers, cut flower, naturalizing, best in groups; especially lovely interplanted with native annuals such as California Poppy. GOOD UNDER OAKS!

Other notes: Pollinator friendly: attractive to bees, hummingbirds, butterflies, moths. Edible Indigenous food source, therefore protect from critters above and below. Thin leaves are inconspicuous and dry prior to flowering.
