Harvested from the limestone mountains of central Portugal, this plant hails from the Iberian Peninsula and north-western Africa. Evergreen and shrubby, it revives every fall and is often the first plant to bloom in the winter. It's very ornamental, but sports poisonous fruits, so care should be taken with pets to not ingest them. This waterwise plant prefers sun exposure and is adaptable to all soils other than acidic.
