This Bush Monkey Flower is a horticultural selection of a native plant found in the Sierra Nevadas and the Coast Mountain Range. This low growing shrubby bush monkey flower has shiny deep green leaves unlike most other bush monkey flower varieties.  Deeply ruffle-edged flowers are pale white with yellow throats.  Drought-adapted, it grows well under oaks or in partial shade in inland gardens but prefers full sun in cooler zones.  The flower attracts native bees and a variety of other pollinators.

Size: 2-feet tall; 3-feet wide

Light: Sun is coastal zone and part shade inland

Soil: Fast to medium drainage

Water: No summer irrigation or fertilization 

Bloom: White flowers with yellow throats that blooms during growth period in early spring

Uses: Pollinator gardens, native and naturalized landscapes, under oaks
