Diplacus aurantiacus - 'California Sunrise'

'California Sunrise' is a semi-deciduous perennial 2-3 ft wide and 2-3 ft tall. rounded dense small shrub with bright orange-peach flowers.  It flowers early spring through summer and will go dormant in the summer without supplemental water.  Like most monkeyflowers it prefers some shade and low water, once established. 

Biennial Herbaceous Perennial

Size:  2 -3 feet tall and wide    
Light: Partial shade preferred. 
Soil: Tolerates a variety of soils (chalky, clay, loamy, and sandy). Likes well-drained soil. 
Water: Low water once established
Bloom:  Orange/peach blooms early spring through summer 
Other Notes: Drought tolerant, deer resistant, perfect for bee, butterfly and hummingbird gardens.  A cultivar of our native monkeyflower.
