"Mexican firecracker" is a distinct and award-winning succulent with stemless rosettes, to 6 inches wide, packed with 100+ spoon-shaped leaves that are covered with dense white hairs. In late spring, foot-tall stems shoot up with urn-shaped red flowers with yellow tips. They are deer resistant; bees and hummingbirds love them.
