Eriophyllum staechaedifollium is endemic to the coastal shrub and coastal strand plant communities from Santa Barbara County to Oregon. Deeply lobed shiny green leaves on top, gray-green and slightly hairy on the bottom, curl under along the edges.  Tightly clustered brilliant yellow flowers bloom in spring and summer.   The unique adaptive characteristics of Lizard Tail make this a unique plant for your coastal native garden.
