Anthriscus cerefolium - Heirloom Chervil

This classic french herb is an essential element to “fines herbes” mixtures, and often used as a substitute for tarragon. Sometimes chervil is referred to as "French Parsley". The refined flavor is used to highlight sauces, sautes, and soups. The lacy leaves are finely cut and light green, and as delicate as their flavor is subtle. Buy several plants: it is hard to find in U.S. markets. Chervil’s flavor does not hold when dried. Can be grown in containers.
