Blue-head gilly-flower or globe gilia is a tall, slender annual with neat, powder-blue flowerballs on 1-2 ft. stalks and finely divided leaves. Globe Gilia is a member of the phlox family, which includes mainly leafy herbs, rarely small shrubs, commonly with showy flowers.

Other notes: “Blue Thimble Flower” forms a bushy multi-branching annual to 15” tall by 12” across with dense, ferny, almost lacy, rich green foliage. Throughout Spring and well into Summer, it bears scented, lavender blue flowers held in spherical clusters and loved by butterflies, bees and more! Lovely with natives Layia platyglossa "Tidy Tips" or Clarkia concinna "Pink Ribbons". Full sun provides best display. Self-sows.
