Endemic to three of the eight Channel Islands of California where it grows on cliffs. Rare in the wild but cultivated as a garden plant. A rhizotamous perennial herb with large multi-lobed leaves with hairy edges growing on long stalks. Tiny white and pink flower clusters arise on 2-3 ft. tall stalks.

Other Notes and Uses: Island Alum Root is an excellent groundcover. It is perfect for hummingbird gardens and woodland gardens. Excellent flowering color for winter season.
