Lepechinia frangrans - Pitcher Sage

Pot Size:  One gallon

A Sage relative, this California native is also endemic to California. The plant has highly-fragrant, fuzzy and large leaves, with lavender blooms. Its lanky form can be improved with pinching and pruning. It likes sun on the coast and partial shade inland. It's drought tolerant, but responds to water (especially when being established). Hummingbirds love this shrub, and deer shun it. This is a fast grower, and can add height, width-filler and heady fragrance to your garden in short order. This is a new product this season.

Notes and other uses: Deer resistant. Excellent for rocky slopes and chaparral areas. Excellent for pollinator gardens.
