Lupinus regalis - 'Gallery Yellow' Lupine (Russell)

Gallery Yellow Lupine is an amazing addition for your garden and a new product this season for us. It features bright yellow and long-blooming keels of 12+ inches. This variety is especially suited for our foggy, coastal areas as it is highly mildew-resistant and a vigorous bloomer. Lush green palmate leaves form a dense mound 2 feet tall and 3 feet in spread. Flowers attract butterflies, bees and hummers.  

Perennial small bush (in our zones)

Size: 2-3 feet tall, 3 feet spread.
Light: Full sun to partial shade (does not do well is hot afternoon sun)

Soil: Prefers well-drained and slightly acidic or humusy soil (will wilt if gets too dry)

Water: Moderate
Bloom: Mid-spring to fall; bright yellow spikes of blooms

Other Notes and Uses: These make stunning color statements planted amongst other flowering shrubs; excellent for borders and cottage gardens; ideal for bouquets. Dead-head to prolong blooming season.
