Plectranthus ciliatus ‘Gold’ can be grown as a groundcover in the shade or a potted or hanging plant in a shady, protected spot. Long purplish-pink flowers on maroon stems spike out of maroon-veined, lime green foliage as the days shorten in the Fall.  The leaves, lime green on the top side and deep maroon undersides, are the highlight by either mounding, cascading form, groundcover forms.  Like all Plectranthus, ciliatus is easy to grow requiring little care. Deadhead to extend the bloom.

Light: Shade to retain color.
Soil: Rich, well-draining soil.  Allow to get slightly dry between waterings.
Water: Medium water.
Bloom Color and Season: 8” - 10” long purplish-pink flower spikes bloom in the Fall.
Other Notes: Hardiness 30° F; fertilize once every 2-3 months during growing season; deadhead to extend bloom
Uses: Groundcover, container or hanging plant, all in shaded areas.
