Plectranthus 'Mona Lavender' is a sturdy, long-lived fast-growing hybrid perennial shrub from South Africa.  The slightly fuzzy ovate leaves are deep green on the top side and a surprising deep purple on the undersides.  Striking lavender flower spikes, up to 10 inches long, shoot out of this vibrant lush foliage.  Like all Plectranthus, this is an easy plant to grow requiring little care. As a short-day plant, this Plectranthus flowers in early Fall.  Deadhead spent flowers to extend the bloom.  Grows best in a protected shady spot or can be grown as a house plant if kept out of direct sun but in bright sunlight.
