Considered both an herb and a vegetable, fennel is a gourmet treat. This variety produces larger, more uniform bulbs and delicately-flavored foliage. Developed for cool, northern climates, this variety also has good bolt resistance. The crisp white bulbous stem bease has a delicious, anise flavor and can be eaten raw, used to flavor soups or pastas, or sauteed / grilled. It's an excellent fresh garnish for seafood and chicken.
