This is a wonderful addition to the dry garden with its silvery, woolly leaves and small, bright magenta flowers.  Velvety foliage mounds 2-3 feet tall and wide.  The greenish-grey-white stems and leaves are densely covered with silver-grey hairs, giving it a fuzzy appearance.  In mild climates, plants will remain evergreen.  A profusion of 1 inch flowers begins in summer.  Combines nicely with pink, lilac and blue flowers as well as with bright yellow flowers.  Deadhead regularly to encourage flowering.  Has very few insect or disease problems.  Deer tolerant.  Also known as Lychnis coronaria.
