Salvia repens x namaensis 'Savannah Blue'

A hybrid perennial, Savannah Blue is of moderate size for a salvia. Add a new salvia variety to your pollinator garden or refresh an area with a drought-tolerant stunner! Savannah Blue has unusual fragrant deeply cut evergreen leaves, and delicate light-blue/ lavender blooms during the late spring through summer bloom season. A true Xeriscapic, it needs moderate water, and will flourish in full sun or partial shade. The delicate blooms attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, and can be planted in slightly smaller spaces than most salvias.

Size: Height/ 2-3 feet, Spread/ 2-3 feet.    
Light: Full sun
Soil: Tolerates a variety of soils; good drainage required. 
Water: Drought tolerant once established, moderate water
Bloom: Blooms late spring through summer
Other notes: If planted in a container, it must be at least 3 gallons, and incorporate excellent drainage. Deer and rabbit resistant.

Uses: Ideally suited as an addition to a flower garden; pairs well with both cottage garden elements AND pollinator areas.
