Hummingbird Sage is native to the lower California coast ranges. Low rosettes of crinkly leaves have a sharp, fruity scent, and give rise to tall whorled spikes of bright pink flowers spring and fall. This plant adds lots of color and texture to the garden, and as one of the first spring bloomers, can be a real show-stopper. Nice in massed plantings! Native Perennial Size: 1-2’ tall, 3-4’ wide; spreads very rapidly Light: Part shade Soil: Good drainage, prefers rich soil Water: Very low to moderate.
