Sea Thrift, native to California's coastal strand plant community, is a compact evergreen plant that boasts round clusters of pink flowers atop slender stalks that rise well above the foliage. It blooms profusely from mid-spring throughout the summer. The linear leaves grow in a basal rosette. Sea thrift is a charming little plant that will spread slowly and is ridiculously easy to grow. The blooms attract bees and butterflies, and it is deer resistant. Dead-heading may produce an entire second round of flowers.

Size: Grows 6-12 inches in height with a spread of 12 inches.     
Light: Grow in full sun   
Soil: Sea Thrift adapts well to dry soil and drought conditions once plant is established  
Water: Low water requirement. 
Bloom: Blooms in Spring all the way through Summer; Pink blooms.  
Uses: Sea Thrift works well for edging and borders, as well as to contain slopes.
