Chlorophytum comosum - Variegated Spider Plant

The spider plant is considered one of the most adaptable of houseplants and the easiest to grow. This plant can grow in a wide range of conditions and suffers from few problems, other than brown tips.  They can be grown outdoors in warm semi-shady areas in our cooler coastal California as well.

Houseplant

Size: Can spread up to 3 ft wide; will naturally drop spiderettes to hang below mother plant
Sun: Loves light, but not direct sun
Water: Regular watering preferred, but allow to dry out between waterings
Bloom: At intervals, small white flower may appear
Other Notes and Uses: Possibly the easiest houseplant to maintain; super easy to propagate from spiderettes. Looks lovely hanging or on a shelf.
