Dymondia, also known as "Rock Ditty", makes a stunning, dense ground cover for a lawn alternative. The silvery grey leaves spread and root well, and it can be walked on after established, without any problems. Also highly attractive between stepping stones or pavers, it sports small yellow flowers in the summer months of July through September. It is drought and deer resistant. 

Evergreen Perennial Ground Cover

Size:  2 inches high, 1-3 ft. spread
Light:  Full sun 
Soil:  Very unparticular about soil!
Water:  Very low, once established
Bloom:  Small yellow flowers in summer months (July- Sept)
Uses and other notes:  Most commonly used as a lawn alternative. Excellent also for edging, ground cover, and filler between pavers and stepping stones. You can walk on Dymondia, just like a lawn.
