This California native grass boasts a large handsome fountainlike habit, with blue-green blades forming 3 x 3-foot mounds. With deep fibrous root systems, they provide excellent erosion control on banks and slopes, serve well in wildflower meadows, and are very ornamental. They provide food for wildlife, especially butterflies. Add some grasses to your landscapes this year! New Product this Season!

Plant Type: Perennial bunch grass

Light: Full sun, but also tolerates part shade

Size: Grows to 3 x 3 ft mounds. 

Soil: Tolerates a variety of soils with medium drainage.

Water: Very low. Limit Summer irrigation to 1 X month once established.

Bloom: Spring 

Other notes: Seeds attract birds and other wildlife. Can be cut back at the end of summer when it turns brown.
Uses: Grasses garden, naturalistic settings, native plant gardens, lawn alternative, erosion control.
